Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
The CCNP certification consists of three exams: CCNP Route, CCNP Switch and CCNP Troubleshoot. Together they validate the ability of the IT professional to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks and work collaboratively with specialists on advanced security, voice, wireless and video solutions.
CCNP Route serves as preparation for use of advanced IP addressing and routing. It addresses advanced topics and protocols, including Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol, Open Shortest Path First, IP version 6, and redistribution and path control.
CCNP Switch course serves to enhance the knowledge of Cisco switching topics at an in-depth and significantly detailed level. This course covers VLANs, Trunking, Virtual Trunking Protocol (VTP), Spanning-Tree (STP), Rapid Spanning-Tree (RSTP), Multiple Spanning-Tree Protocol (MSTP), Cisco Express Forwarding, Layer 3 Switching Solutions, and High Availability features.
CCNP Troubleshoot is designed to facilitate the maintenance of enterprise routed and switched networks. The course teaches "troubleshooting 101" tools and methodologies through 802.11 wireless, high availability and security.
Validity of Certification: 3 Years
Prerequisites: It is recommended that candidates have some experience in managing networks and holds a Valid CCNA Certificate
